Mariama’s New Vitamins Keep Her Healthy and Hopeful

MARIAMA MANSARAY
Dear Bryan,

Mariama has known poverty for a very long time now. Her parents are so poor they cannot afford to send Mariama to school. The only option available was to have her live with her aunt.

In a two bedroom block house with electricity but no running water, Mariama lives not only with her aunt, but her aunt’s husband and their children. Her aunt is the main provider of the home with a monthly income of $70 from her work as a trader. Mariama wants to be a lawyer when she grows up. Her hobbies include reading. She does light errands for people in her community to survive when things are difficult at home.

Thank you, Bryan, for your donation. A three month supply of vitamins keeps Mariama focused, healthy, and motivated for her future!

Dear Cathleen,

David was born at the peak of the civil war in Sierra Leone. During the civil war, the rebels burnt down his parents’ two bedroom house and property. They have not recovered since.

David’s father abandoned his family six years ago and has not yet returned home.

His family relies on members of the church to feed and purchase necessary items for their family.

David’s mother is a student at one of the universities of Sierra Leone. Everyday she walks six miles, each way, to class.
David also goes to school, but when support from church members is delayed, David goes to school without lunch. When he grows up, David wants to be a banker!

Three Siblings Receive Mosquito Nets!

SAHR, DORCAS and GERALDING
Dear David,

Sahr, Dorcas, and Geralding live in a two bedroom house with electricity but no running water. Their father works as a small scale farmer and provides the family with $80 a month, which is insufficient to make ends meet. Their mother is a housewife, and unfortunately without employment.

Thank you, David, for providing three mosquito nets for this family! Mosquito nets avert malaria, and consequently any medical costs for treatment. This removes a financial burden off of the family’s shoulders, and keeps the whole family healthy. Thank you again!

Moses is Determined with Vitamin Supply!

Moses
Dear Philippe,

It is by the grace of God that Moses and his family survive. Five years ago, Moses lost his mother to a terrible sickness due to insufficient funds for medical care. Currently, his father is unemployed. They have no permanent home since they moved from the provinces to settle in Freetown some years ago. They have been sleeping from one unfinished house to another ever since they settled in Wellington.

Moses helps people transport their luggage from the foot of the hill to the mountain top every day just to survive. Moses and his brothers sleep together with their father on mats spread on the bare floor at night. They have no running water, no electricity and poor toilet facility. Moses wants to be a driver when he grows up.

With your donation, Moses has the strength, nutrition and energy to go through the day and help support his family. He can stay strong, resilient and determined. Thank you, Philippe for your kind donation of vitamins!
