Mariama’s New Vitamins Keep Her Healthy and Hopeful

Mariama has known poverty for a very long time now. Her parents are so poor they cannot afford to send Mariama to school. The only option available was to have her live with her aunt.

In a two bedroom block house with electricity but no running water, Mariama lives not only with her aunt, but her aunt’s husband and their children. Her aunt is the main provider of the home with a monthly income of $70 from her work as a trader. Mariama wants to be a lawyer when she grows up. Her hobbies include reading. She does light errands for people in her community to survive when things are difficult at home.
