Future Banker Receives Mosquito Net

David was born at the peak of the civil war in Sierra Leone. During the civil war, the rebels burnt down his parents’ two bedroom house and property. They have not recovered since.

David’s father abandoned his family six years ago and has not yet returned home.
David, his mother, and his brothers are currently living in a friends house.
His family relies on members of the church to feed and purchase necessary items for their family.

David’s mother is a student at one of the universities of Sierra Leone. Everyday she walks six miles, each way, to class.
David also goes to school, but when support from church members is delayed, David goes to school without lunch. When he grows up, David wants to be a banker!
