A Healthier Future for a Young Girl

Adama lives with her mother, father, two sisters, and two brothers in a two bedroom block house with no running water, poor toilet facilities, and they do have electricity. Adama has known poverty for a long time now. She belongs to a polygamous family and does not have the love and care a child should enjoy. Her mother is a trader and the main provider of the home with a monthly income of $80: not enough to take care of the family’s needs. Adama attends primary school. She wants to be a seamstress when she grows up.  Adama sometimes assists her mother with selling assorted items at the market. Adama likes movies, especially village films.
