Aminata was born on September 17, 2004 and attends the Vicray’s Primary School in Wellington, Sierra Leone. She is currently in Class Two. Her father, Amara, is a construction worker with a monthly income of $40 and her mother, Memunatu is a petty trader selling miscellaneous grocery items – with a monthly income of $50.
Aminata’s favorite classes in school include – Religious Moral Education and the English Language. Her hobbies are reading and listening to music. She dreams of becoming a banker when she grows up.
Aminata and her family live in a two bedroom zinc sheet home, with no running water or electricity. The family is desperately struggling to make ends meet and is most deserving of support. Food provision and availability is not regular in the home and Aminata commonly walks around barefoot. Given the family background, they were very delighted to receive this tuition assistance for the next year.
Thank you Cindy, Joan, Anil, James, James and Julie, Jessie, and Anonymous Microsoft donor for bringing this much needed relief and gift of education to Aminata!
