Mamie is eleven years old and is a sixth grade student at the FAWE primary school in Sierra Leone. Her favorite subject is mathematics and she also enjoys reading and cooking. Mamie dreams of becoming a medical doctor when she grows up.
Mamie’s father, Samuel, is unemployed. Her mother, Musukula, is a petty trader who sells leafy vegetables and is the main provider of the home with a monthly income of $40. This is not enough to cover the basic needs of the home.
Mamie has six brothers, six sisters, and eight extended relatives that live at her home. They all live in a three bedroom apartment with no running water or electricity.
Your donation of computer training will offer Mamie the potential to find more job opportunities in the future. Thank you all so much for your support!
