A Mosquito Net for Abdulai!

Dear Aparajita,

Abdulai lives with his father, mother, two brothers, and two sisters in a two bedroom mud house with no running water and no electricity at Mellon Street in the Wellington Community. His father is a baker and the main provider of the home with a monthly income of $70, which is not enough to cover the basic family needs. His mother is a petty trader using her income to augment her husband’s income in managing the affairs of the home. Abdulai likes reading, mathematics, Religious Arabia, and playing football at his leisure. Mohamed wants to be a banker when he grows up.

He uses a kerosene lamp to study and sleeps on a mat spread on the bare floor.

Thank you, Aparajita, for your gift. The mosquito net helps protect Abdulai from malaria!

Dear Aparajita,

(B-F  )Bankolo, Alhajis and Abdul are beneficiaries of the treated mosquito nets you donated. Bankolo is a carpenter that earns a monthly income of $30– not nearly enough to cover his wife’s and child’s basic needs. Alhajis and Abdul both attend the Ahmadiyya Muslim primary school in the Wellington community. They both live in the same compound that has no electricity and no running water. They both belong to very poor parents.

Thank you for providing mosquito nets for Bankolo, Alhajis and Abdul! Your donation, Aparajita, provides safety from a small, but mischievous insect. They can all now sleep without worry of contracting malaria. Thank you again!

Mosquito Nets for the New Year

ABDUL, MOHAMED, RUGIATU
Dear Linds and Michael, Karen, and Paavnee,

Abdul is a student studying at the Fourah Bay College and he is in year three. He has relied on people to pay his fees all these years and now trusts God to work a miracle for him so that he can pay his fees for the two remaining years he has at the university.

Rugiatu is a nurse in training and also a mother. Things have not been easy for her and her son Mohamed. Both of them were driven from home when her father returned from the provinces and discover that she had given birth.
They now live with a man at the hillside of Beccle street in the Wellington community.

Thank you, Linds and Michael, Karen and Paavnee, for gifting mosquito nets to Abdul, Mohamed and Rugiatu. Now all three of them can sleep peacefully at night without worrying about getting malaria. They couldn’t have asked for better New Year gifts.
