Vitamins for a Growing Boy

Ibrahim lives in the Wellington community of Freetown, Sierra Leone in a single bed room zinc sheet home with no running water and no electricity. He extends his thanks for the gift of vitamin supplements.

Ibrahim is four years of age, so he is not yet going to school.

His mother is a petty trader and the main provider of the home with a monthly income of $40, which is not enough to cover the basic family needs. His father is unemployed, and depends on his wife to survive.

Young Mothers Receive Malaria Protection

Zianab, Mariatu, and Sento live in the Wellington community of Freetown, Sierra Leone and they extend their thanks for mosquito nets!

All three of them are mothers with three children each, and they are also petty traders that compliment their husband’s income in taking care of their respective homes. They live in a family house with six rooms; each family occupies two rooms with no running water and no electricity.

A mosquito net for beautiful Rosaline!

Rosaline lives in the Wellington Community in a single bedroom apartment with her parents and two brothers. There home has no running water or electricity. Rosaline’s father is a driver and the main provider of the home with a monthly income of $70, which is not enough to cover the basic family needs. Her mother stays at home to take care of Rosaline and her two brothers.

Rosaline is eight years old and attends an Islamic Primary School, she is in class three. Rosaline wants to be a banker when she grows up. She is delighted to receive a mosquito net and be able to sleep soundly, without worrying about malaria carrying mosquitoes.

Haja Mama, Ramatu, Faud, Alusine, and Alimamy are in different grades at the same school.  Haja Mama has a definite plan for her future; she wants to be a nurse.  The others are content, for now,

Bag of rice for the Sheriff household

The Sheriff household comprises two family units: the Sheriff family that has two children, Zainab and Adama Sheriff; and the Alieu family that also has two children, Mariama and Ramatu. Each family lives in a single bedroom apartment with no running water and no electricity in the Wellington community of Freetown, Sierra Leone.

Mr. Sheriff is unemployed and his wife is a petty trader. Zainab and Adama attend the Wellington Orphanage Primary school and are in class five and two respectively.

Mr. Alieu is the main provider of his family. Mrs. Alieu is a house wife. Mariama and Ramatu attend the Wellington Orphanage primary school and they are in class five and three respectively. Greg, thank you for providing a bag of rice for both families. Both households are grateful for the provision of rice at the right time!

The Bangura family are thankful to receive a bag of rice in this rainy season when the cost of food is escalating.

Sorie is Stronger and More Active

Sorie comes from a family of eight.  He lives with his parents and five siblings in a 2 bedroom house without running water or electricity.  The joint monthly income of his parents, both of whom are petty traders, is only $80 each month, so sometimes there are empty stomachs at bedtime.
