Foday, Kadijatu, Abubakarr, Mohamed and Idrissa are now Sleeping Soundly

Dear Carys,

Foday, Kadijatu, Abubakarr, Mohamed and Idrissa have received treated bed nets. Foday is a mason, a father of two and the main provider for his family with a monthly income of $50 which is not enough to cover his family’s basic needs. Kadijatu attends the New Hope International and is in class five.  She aspiress to be a nurse when she grows up. Abubakarr attends the Evangelical Model High school and is in form two and wants to be an accountant when he finishes school. Idrissa is not yet attending school. Mohamed is a student and a father of two children. They all live at Upper Beccle Street in the Wellington community of Sierra Leone.

They all extend their thanks for the bed nets to protect them from malaria. Protection from this disease will enable them to sleep more soundly and focus on their studies and work.  Thank you so much Carys for your kind donation!

Computer Training for a Future Banker

Michaela
Dear so-young and Carmen,

Michaela is twelve years old. She is a pupil of the FAWE primary school and is in class six. Her favorite subject is mathematics and she enjoys drawing, singing and reading in her free time. She wants to be a banker and a pastor when she grows up.
 
Michaela has three sisters and four brothers, a grandmother, a grandfather,  and two parents all living together in a four bedroom apartment with no running water but with electricity.

Michaela’s mother is a petty trader and a co-provider of the home with a monthly income of $50. Michaela’s father is a driver and the main provider of the home with a monthly income of $80.  Together their income is not enough to cover the basic needs of the home. 

Michaela wants to learn computer to be a sound banker. Thank you both for providing her this opportunity.  Your generosity is greatly appreciated!

Alieu, Hawanatu, Abdul, Kadiatu, and Ibrahim Feel Blessed!

Alieu, Hawanatu, Abdul, Kadiatu, and Ibrahim are beneficiaries of the treated bed nets. They extend their thanks and appreciation to the both of you for the provision of these  nets as they now have the assurance to be malaria free.

Alieu, Hawanatu, Abdul, Kadiatu, and Ibrahim all live at Upper Beccle Street in the Wellington community of Sierra Leone. They live in a three bed room house with no running water or electricity.

Alieu attends the United Mission Council secondary school and is in form three. He wants to be a lawyer when he grows up. Abdul attends the Wellington Senior Secondary school and is in form five. He aspires to be an accountant when he is older. Hawanatu attends the Government Municipal and is in form three and she dreams of becoming a nurse. Kadiatu attends the Evangelical Mission Secondary school and is in form four. She wants to be a banker when she grows up. Ibrahim is a teacher at the Evangelical Model High School.

Computer Skills for a Future Doctor

Joyce is a twelve year old girl who lives with her parents, five brothers, five sisters, and three dependent relatives in a three bedroom apartment with electricity but no running water.  Joyce’s father, Boizy, is a teacher and the main provider of their home with a monthly income of $100, which is not enough to cover the basic needs of their home.  Her mother Fatmata is a house wife.

Joyce is a pupil of FAWE primary school and is currently in class six.  Her favorite subject is mathematics and she likes to watch movies and read books in her free time.  Joyce aspires to be a medical doctor when she finishes her studies.

Kumba is ten years old. She has two sisters and three brothers. Her mother, Fatmata, is a housewife, and her father is a petty trader who sells cooking pots and is the main provider of the home with a monthly income of $70. This is not enough to cover the basic needs of the home.

The family lives in a single bedroom apartment with no running water but with electricity.

Kumba is a pupil of the FAWE primary school, and she is in class six. Mathematics and Social Studies are her favorite subjects. In her spare time she likes eating and reading.

A Good Night’s Sleep for Mohamed

Dear Rich,

Mohamed is a two year old who wants to be a driver like his father when he grows up.  Mohamed’s father is a bike driver and the main provider of the home with a monthly income of $70 which is not enough to cover the family’s basic needs. His mother is a petty trader that buys agricultural produce from the provinces and sells them in Freetown; she uses the proceeds to help provide for the home.

Mohamed is not yet going to school but he extends his thanks to you, Rich, for the provision of a bed net. He is excited to have good night’s sleep!

Food for a Family

Saffie is the mother of Rugiatu and Amara, and the grandmother of Fasineh. They live in Sierra Leone in a two bedroom apartment zinc sheet home with electricity, but no running water. Saffie’s husband is unemployed so Saffie is the main provider of their home by gardening and selling vegetables. Her  monthly income of $40 is not enough to cover their basic family needs.

Saffie’s daughter Rugiatu is an unemployed widow and Ragiatu’s two children Fasineh and Hudson attend the United Mission Council primary school in class five and class two. Fasineh wants to be a medical doctor when he grows up and Hudson wants to be an engineer.  Saffie’s son Amara attends the David Arnold Junior Secondary school and is in class 3. He wants to be a lawyer when he grows up.

Saffie’s family lived on ‘garie’ as their daily meal for most of the month before they received the bag of rice. They were so delighted when the rice was presented to them and they express their thanks to you Casey, for the food in their time of need.

A Bed Net for a Seamstress

Isatu is a seamstress in training who lives with her family of fourteen in a three bed room house with electricity but no running water in Sierra Leone.  With such a large family to provide for, their basic needs are often neglected.

Isatu extends her thanks for the provision of bed net given to her, she feels assured that she is now protected from malaria.
