Maseray lives on Upper Mellon Street in Wellington, a neighborhood in Freetown, Sierra Leone. She lives in a three bedroom home with 16 other residents. They do not have any running water but are fortunate to have electricity. She sometimes assists her mother selling water and ginger nearby to make ends meet.
Maseray’s family had given up on her but she now has a lifeline; she has been training as a seamstress and now knows her dream to be self-reliant will be realized. She has been waiting for this opportunity for a very long time, Friedman Group at UBS. Thank you for the donation of a tailoring start-up kit to someone like Maseray through Door of Hope.
