Wata is in the sixth grade at the FAWE primary school in Freetown, Sierra Leone. Her favorite subjects are Mathematics and Social Studies. Outside of school, Wata likes to spend her time cooking, listening to the news, and reading books. Her favorite food is foo-foo and village soup — a local dish. She wants to be a teacher when she grows up.
Her mother, Messy, is a teacher and earns $70 per month. Her father, Alfred, is a head teacher and the main provider of the home with a monthly income of $100. Unfortunately, the parents do not earn enough to support their entire family, which consists of Wata and her 10 siblings. They live in a three bedroom apartment with electricity but no running water in the city.
Wata is delighted to be learning how to use computers as this will help her keep abreast with the present trend of technological development. Thank you, Jason ,for helping to provide this training — preparing her for our technology-enhanced world!
