Abie lives with her father, mother, three brothers and four sisters in a two bed room apartment with no running water in Freetown, Sierra Leone. Her mother, Sia Kanu, is a petty trader and a co-provider of the home with a monthly income of $40. Her father, Alhaji Kanu, is a farmer and the main provider of the home with a monthly income of $60.
Abie attends the FAWE school and is in the fifth grade. Her favorite subject at school is English. Abie likes to read a lot and wants to become a doctor when she grows up.
As a result of your generosity and the efforts of Door of Hope, Abie is learning how to use computers free of charge. Thank you, Jason, for helping to prepare her for a life of service.
