Michael, Isha and John live in the Wellington community in Sierra Leone. Michael is in the third grade at at the Umuru Bombwie Primary School. Isha is in the third grade at the Sierra Leone Muslim Brotherhood. Isha hopes to become a lawyer when she grows up. John, their father, is a mason and construction worker, making a low monthly income of $30.
Because of John’s low income, he cannot afford to fully support his two children, Isha and Michael. In Sierra Leone, countless children suffer from malaria, which prevents them from attending school and living a healthy, normal childhood. Door of Hope aids families in need of help to meet basic needs like protection from diseases.
Thanks to your donation, Akhil, John and his children can sleep safely at night under their new mosquito nets. This will not only benefit them, but also their community, as malaria is easily spread. Isha and Michael can continue their childhoods without the constant worry of infectious diseases. Thank you again, Akhil, for making the difference in their lives.
