Lamin lives with his father, mother, seven sisters, and three brothers in the Upper Mellon Street in the Wellington community of Sierra Leone. They reside in a two bedroom apartment with no running water or electricity. Lamin’s father is unemployed and his mother is a petty trader that sells fish. She is the main provider of the family even though her monthly income of $50 does not cover the basic needs of their home.
Lamin is a pupil of the Evangelical Mission primary school and he is in sixth grade. His favorite subject is science and he wants to be a banker when he grows up.
