Augustine lives with his father, mother, three brothers and three sisters in a three bedroom apartment with no running water or electricity. His father is a plumber and the main provider of their home, although his monthly income of $50 is not enough to cover the basic needs of his family. Augustine’s mother is a petty trader that sells soap. She uses the proceeds to help supportĀ their home.
Augustine is in the sixth grade at the Evangelical Mission Primary School in Wellington, a region in the eastern part of Freetown, Sierra Leone. His favorite subject is English and he wants to be a lawyer when he grows up.
Augustine extends his thanks to you, Priyanka, for the bed net you donated. He now hasĀ insurance against malaria and can sleep soundly at night!
