Dalanda Kabbia is eleven years old. She has two brothers and a sister. Her father Mohamed, is a mason (brick layer / construction worker) and the main provider of the home with monthly income of $60 – not enough to cover the basic needs of the home. Her mother, Marie, is a petty trader that sells biscuits (cookies) and uses part of the proceeds to help providing for the home. The Kabbia family lives in a two bedroom apartment with no running water but with electricity.
Dalanda is a pupil of the FAWE primary school and she is in class six. English Language is her favorite subject. She likes to dance when she is free. Dalanda wants to be a lawyer when she grows.
