Idrissa lives at 2c Upper Mellon Street in the Wellington community of Sierra Leone. He is only two years old so he is not yet in school. He wants to be a soldier when he grows up.
Idrissa’s mother is a practicing nurse and the main provider of the home with a monthly income of $50. This is not enough to cover the basic needs of the home. Idrissa’s father is a warden but does not care for the family. He lives 80 miles away from the rest of the family. Idrissa has three sisters, a brother, and two aunts living in a two bedroom apartment with no running water and no electricity.
