Edna lives with her parents, three sisters, and two brothers in a two bedroom apartment with no running water but with electricity. The father John is a key cutter and the main provider of the home with a monthly income of $60. This is not enough to cover the basic needs of the home. The mother is a housewife who does not have the capital to do small business to help complement her
husband’s effort to provide for the home.
Edna attends the FAWE primary school in Freetown, Sierra Leone and she is in class four. Her favorite subjects at school are English and Mathematics. Edna likes reading story books and skipping. She wants to be an accountant when she grows up.
Edna wants to be computer literate to catch up with development taking place all over the world and to make her marketable in her career. Sponsorship for Edna will help change her life. Thank you, Leslie!
