Marian is eight years old and she lives with her parents, three sisters, and two brothers in the Wellington community in Sierra Leone. Their small two-bedroom apartment has no running water or electricity. Marian’s father, a worker at the Freetown City Council, is the main provider of the house. His monthly income of $60 is not enough to cover many of the basic needs of this large family. Marian’s mother hopes to start a business one day to help support the family, but right now, they do not have enough money to invest in such a venture.
Marian attends the Salmed Islam Community Primary School. Her favorite class is mathematics and dreams of becoming a doctor when she grows up.
Marian expresses her sincere gratitude for your gift of two uniforms and a pair of shoes. Having the proper attire for school gives Marian confidence and helps her focus on her studies. Thank you so much, Gaurav, for your generous donation that helps keep Marian in school and focused on her dreams of becoming a doctor!
