A New Sense of Well-Being

Fatmata is six years old and lives in Freetown, Sierra Leone. She is not going to school, but she hopes to someday.

Fatmata’s father works in a local hospital and is the main provider of the home with a monthly income of $60. This is not enough to cover the basic family needs. Fatmata’s mother is a housewife who helps in taking care of the children and does the domestic work.

Fatmata has two sisters. She lives with her family in a single bedroom house with no running water and no electricity.

Fatmata expresses thanks and appreciation for the provision of a year of vitamin supplements. She is happy to have the nutrition she needs!
