Sound Sleep for Salamatu

Salamatu is 12-years-old, and one of her parent’s six children.  The family lives in a two bedroom apartment without electricity or running water.  Salamatu’s father earns $60 per month as a mason, but cannot provide all that his family of eight requires.  So, in addition to doing most of the domestic work at home, Salamatu helps her mother sell fried food at night to earn extra money for the home.
