A School Uniform for a Young Artist

MARIAM
Dear Craig,

New window
Print allMarian attends the New Hope International primary school in Freetown, Sierra Leone and she is in class four. She is ten years of age, and she lives with her parents, three sisters, three brothers, and two cousins in a two bedroom apartment. They have no running water and no electricity.
Both her father and mother are farmers with an average monthly income of $70. This is not enough to cover the basic needs of the home.
At school Marian enjoys Creative Practical Art and wants to be a seamstress when she grows up.
