Zainab, ten years old, attends primary school in Freetown, Sierra Leone. Her father trades small goods and is the primary provider of the family with a monthly income of $60. This meager income does not cover the basic family needs and makes certain necessities unattainable. Her mother also sells small items to help take care of the home. Zainab lives with her parents and three siblings in a two bedroom apartment with no running water or electricity.
Zainab wants to be a medical doctor when she grows up, and likes reading, music and mathematics. With your generous donation of a treated bed net, you have helped this family afford a necessary means to ward of malaria-carrying mosquitoes.
