gave 10 for a mosquito net |
posted May 4, 2011

Josephine lives in the Wellington community of Freetown, Sierra Leone with her parents and relatives in a three bedroom rented apartment that has electricity, but no running water. Josephine is eight years old and attends the Wellington Orphanage Primary School. She enjoys reading and math, supporting her ambition to be a banker when she grows up. Her parents have four other children to care for. Her father is a laborer and the main provider of the home with a monthly income of just $70, which is not enough to cover even the basic family needs. Josephine’s mother is a petty trader who also takes care of the housework.
She is grateful to receive a mosquito net and now feels protected against malaria-carrying mosquitos. Thank you, Robert, for helping this family overcome an everyday hardship!
