Stitching Together A Better Life

Mariatu lives with her father, four sisters and two brothers in a 3-bedroom house without running water or electricity. Her father is the main provider of the house, but earns a monthly salary of only $80 as a guard.

Mariatu was abducted by rebels during the war in Sierra Leone. Since being released, she is committed to living a dignified life.  Mariatu expresses her heartfelt thanks for your generous donation, Laurent!  It will allow her to create a new, better life for herself and her family – one stitch at a time.
