Dear Tim,
Musa and his family live in the Wellington community of Sierra Leone, in a two bedroom house with no running water and no electricity.
Musa has five children and two grandchildren. He has retired from work at the Sanitary Department of the Ministry of Health. He was earning a salary of about $30, which was not enough to feed his family and send his children to school.
Musa’s family has known poverty for a very long time. His children are seen around with torn clothes, and a times they walk around with no slippers or shoes. The children sleep on savanna bed using a kerosene lamp at night.
Musa’s wife, Sento, is now the main provider of the home with monthly income of $20, which is not enough to cover the basic family needs. Kallie, Abdul Rahman, Marie, and William depend on good neighbors to pay their school fees and provide lunch for them.
Thank you, Tim, for feeding this hungry family as they work toward a better life for themselves.
