A future nurse receives a mosquito net

MASERAY
Dear Tanya,

Marian lives with her mother and stepfather (Marian’s father died six years ago) in a two bedroom house with no running water and no electricity. Her mother is a gardener and is the main provider of the home, and earns about $ 50 per month. Marian’s stepfather has five children, is old and unemployed.

Marian does light errands for people in the community to earn money which she uses to help pay for daily meals. Marian is twelve years old and is not in school because she does not have the money for school fees.  She enjoys cooking and would like to be a nurse when she grows up.

Thank you, Tanya,  for providing a mosquito net for Marian.
