Jebbeh lives with her parents, three sisters and a brother in a two bedroom house with no running water, a poor toilet facility, but with electricity. Jebbeh attends the UMC primary school in the Wellington community.
Jebbeh’s father is a petty trader and the main provider of the home with a monthly income of $60. Her mother is also a petty trader with a monthly income of $50. Jebbeh wants to be a teacher when she grows up.
Jebbeh has known poverty for a long time now. Daily meals are not regular, medical provisions are not readily available when she is sick, she has no proper bedding to sleep on, and inadequate provisions for her schooling.
Thank you, Doug, for your gift of a mosquito net. Jebbeh no longer has to worry about getting malaria!
