A future news broadcaster receives a mosquito net

Demilia lives with her father, mother, four brothers and two sisters in a two bed room house with no running water  and no electricity.

Her father is unemployed. Her mother is a petty trader and the main provider of the home with a monthly income of $80.

Demilia has known poverty for a long time. When business is bad for Demilia’s mother, she and the rest of her family go to bed without eating food. Demilia does light errands for the people in her community to earn money.

Demilia likes listening to music on the radio and desires to be a news broadcaster when she grows up. Demilia attends the Browndel primary school and she is in class three.
