Dear James
Rugiatu is nine years old. Her father and her mother are unemployed and are no longer living together as husband and wife. Rugiatu now lives with her step father in a two bed room apartment with no running water and no electricity at Mellon Street in the Wellington community.
The step father is a carpenter and the main provider of the home with a monthly income of $70, which is not enough to cover the basic family needs. The step mother is a petty trader and uses the income derived from her business to take care of her own children.
Rugiatu attends the Ahmadiyya Muslim primary school and she is in class three. Rugiatu likes listening to the radio. Rugiatu wants to be a seamstress when she grows up.
Thank you James for helping to provide a net for Rugiatu. Now she can have a good night’s sleep – safe from mosquites.
