gave 10 for a mosquito net |
posted November 24, 2010

Mahawa lives with her mother, brothers, and sister in a two bedroom apartment with no running water but with electricity. Her father is an office assistant and the main provider of the home with monthly income of $80, which is not enough to cover the basic family needs, including malaria prevention. Though her father has abandoned the home and has started a new family, he still supports Mahawa, her mother, sister and brothers from the same income he receives monthly.
Mahawa’s mother is a house wife and not skilled enough to have a job. Mahawa likes to draw, reads at her leisure and favours English and Physical Health Education in school. She wants to be a teacher when she grows up.
Your gift of a net will protect her at night from malaria. Thank you Oxana!
