A Nutrition Boost for a Future Doctor

Daniela lives with her father and mother, and six dependent relatives in a two bedroom apartment with no running water, no electricity. Her father is a pastor and the main provider of the home with monthly income of $100, which is not enough to cover basic family needs, including nutritial food. The vitamins are giving Daniela the nutrients she lacks in her diet. Daniela finds it difficult to cope with the financial challenges her parents are under. She enjoys singing, dancing and reading. Daniela attends the Sierra Leone International Mission preparatory school and at night she studies using a locally made kerosene lamp and sleeps with three of her dependent relatives on a single bed. She wants to be a medical doctor when she grows up.
