Alice is a promising child that lives under adverse conditions. She is lucky if she has one meal each day, and she has no proper place to sleep. She usually sleeps on a mat on the floor.
Alice and her family live in single bedroom apartment with no running water and no electricity. Her father is a teacher and is the main provider of the home with a monthly income of $70 – not enough to cover the family needs. Alice’s mother is a housewife and does not contribute financially to the family. Thank you Pooja, your support will give Alice a boost in life!
Alice does light errands to raise money to pay her school fees and also her lunch. Alice wakes up early to fetch water from a nearby tap before she goes to school (five buckets).
