Duranatu lives with her mother, father, and two siblings in a single bedroom home with no running water and no electricity. Duranatu’s family resides in her grandfather’s house. Her grandfather also shelters several other families.
Duranatu’s father is a police officer and a student studying in one of the Universities of Sierra Leone. He is the main provider for his wife and children, with monthly income of $80, which is not enough to cover the basic family needs and his college financial needs. Duranatu’s mother does not have vocational training, so she stays home as a housewife.
Duranatu’s dream is to be a nurse when she grows up.
Your support for Duranatu has helped change her life for the better. Thank you, Jan, for providing a year’s critical nutrition boost for a girl who hopes to care for the health of others one day!
