Zainab lives with her father, mother, three brothers, and two sisters in a single bedroom apartment in the Wellington community of Sierra Leone. The apartment has electricity, but no running water.
Her father is the main provider of the home, and earns a monthly income of $70 as a trader. Unfortunately, this is not enough to cover the basic family needs. Therefore, Zainab’s mother sells pounded rice to cover some of the needs of the family.
Zainab is in the first grade and attends an elementary school near her community. She wants to be a teacher when she grows up. Thank you, Catherine, for your kind donation! With your gift, Zainab can grow up healthy!
