A Nutrition Boost for a Young Girl

Isatu lives in a two bedroom house which has no running water or electricity. She lives with her aunt, three sisters, two cousins, and an elderly woman. Isatu wants to go to school but her aunt cannot afford to pay for all the children to go. The aunt feeds the family by selling charcoal, which helps provide at least one meal a day for the family members.

As you can see from the photo, Isatu appears malnourished but thanks to your donations, she will have a supply of multivitamins for the next year! She is now on the road to a balanced diet.  Isatu says, “I sleep on a mat on the bare floor but, it’s okay because at least I don’t get wet when it rains … I have a roof over my head.”
