gave 10 for a mosquito net |
posted October 13, 2010

Victoria lives with her parents, two sisters and brother in a two bedroom block house with no running water in Wellington. The father is a driver and makes a mere $80 a month–far from enough to cover the family’s needs. His salary provides only a meal a day for the whole family to share. Since her mother cannot work, Victoria runs light errands for her neighbors in hopes to afford a school lunch everyday. A fifth grader, Victoria hopes to teach when she grows up. She spends the dark nights studying with her kerosine lamp, and sleeps on a mat spread on the bare floor.
Thank you, Ben! Though her trials are difficult, your generous mosquito net donation will give her a good night’s sleep, and keep the worry of malaria far away.
