gave 30 for a mosquito net |
posted October 13, 2010

Sulaiman lost his parents two years ago and now stays with his uncle in Wellington. His uncle is a market vendor and makes just under $100 a month – not enough to feed his family of six children and wife.
As a member of the extended family, Sulaiman is accustomed to little attention. He is the errand boy in his new abode, and takes care of a number of chores before going to school everyday. Despite his age, Sulaiman is only in first grade. He has missed years of schooling due to a lack of financial support. Sulaiman still has high aspirations and is determined to become a doctor when he’s all grown up.
Sulaiman considers himself privileged to receive a mosquito net. The persistent mosquitoes at night have often made him ill. Now, thanks to God and the timely intervention of this gesture, Sulaiman now sleeps without fear of getting malaria. Thanks Louis for keeping Sulaiman safe from mosquitoes!
