More Alert at School Thanks to a Net

Bintu
Dear Pradeep,

Bintu attends a Methodist Primary school in Wellington, Sierra Leone. Bintu lives with her relatives as her parents live over 150 miles away. Bintu does a lot of domestic work including taking care of her cousin’s baby. They live in a three bedroom mud home with electricity, but no running water. The family’s monthly income of US $50 is not enough to sustain Bintu’s family. They periodically receive some help from other relatives.

Bintu was delighted to receive her mosquito net which she says ‘helps her sleep much better at night”.  With a good night of sleep, she says she is “more alert” in school.  She hopes to become a banker when she grows up.

Thank you Pradeep for providing Bintu with this mosquito net!
