Grace was born on 14th September 2004. Her father is an office cleaner with a monthly income of about $53. Her mother is a petty trader/small goods market vendor – with an irregular income – ranging from about $30 to $45 a month. Grace has 4 siblings and the family lives in Freetown, Sierra Leone. They live in a zinc sheet home, with no running water and no electricity.
Grace attends the Murray Town Army Municipal School and her favorite subjects are Reading and Writing. Her hobbies are reading, singing and helping others. Grace’s overall health is good. She is a diligent student, an avid learner and when she grows up she would like to become a Lawyer.
Because of the weak financial base of the family, they were delighted to hear that Grace had been selected to receive full sponsorship/scholarship for a year. The total support that you have provided (tuition, books, school supplies and meals for a full year) will bring stability to her life and will be a tremendous help to the family.
Grace and her family were delighted to receive this award. The family expresses their gratitude to Sylvester (1 month!), Callan (3 months!) and Tricia (8 months!) for donating and together making a true and lasting difference in Grace’s life.
