Unisia was born in Whalah village in Bombali District, Northern Sierra Leone. Unisia’s father is a subsistence farmer and his mother is a food seller. Unisa, on the other hand, lives in Wellington, a suburb of Freetown, with his aunt and uncle and their 4 children. His uncle is currently unemployed and his aunt, a petty trader, has a monthly income of US$60.
Her income of $60 monthly does not cover the needs of the family. This has resulted in nutritionally deficient and skipped meals. The family currently averages 1-2 meals a day.
Unisa was delighted to receive the nutritional supplements – as he is concerned about growing tall and strong. Thank you, Neil, for helping to provide the nutritional supplements to Unisa!
