gave 20 for a mosquito net |
posted July 1, 2010
Morlai Conteh lives with his parents and two siblings in a single bedroom with no running water and electricity. Morlai’s father is a meager mechanic who’s total income is not enough to cover for the family. Morlai’s mother is a house wife and runs the home. The family wakes up early to fetch tap water half a mile away from their home to avoid overcrowding at the tap.
Morlai has known poverty all his life and his parents cannot afford to send him to school. Morlai is very clever and strongly desires to be educated. He wants to become a motor mechanic.
Morlai was delighted to receive a mosquito net which you can see him lying under in the picture below.
This net will keep him safe from mosquitoes and malaria.
Thanks Niranjan!
