Richlyn Koroma attends the Christ Evangelical church in the Wellington municipality outside Freetown, Sierra Leone. This friendly and promising child likes to read and wants to be a lawyer when she grows up.
She finds it difficult to study with a locally made kerosene lamp at night, which is the only source of light available. Richlyn lives with her mother, father and three siblings in a two bed room house with no electricity and no running water.
Her father is a pastor of a church with most of the members unemployed. Her mother is a petty trader and also the main helper of her husband’s ministry. Their monthly income of US$ 110 is not enough to cover the basic family needs. Richlyn contributes greatly to the children’s ministry of Christ Evangelical Church.
The family was delighted to receive a bed net for Richlyn and truly consider this a blessing from God and an answer to prayer. Now she can sleep safe from mosquitoes.
Thanks Eric for being a channel for this blessing.
