Sorie Kargbo had a fire accident five years ago. He was flown to Ghana for treatment. He is back at home now, in Sierra Leone.
His father, a brick layer / construction worker earns a scanty US $40 a month – an amount insuffient to cover basic needs, let alone cost of a mosquito net.
Sorie benefited from an insecticide-treated bed net that Monica helped provide. The gift prevents malaria and helps Sorie stay healthy and free from those pesky mosquito bites. You can see Sorie in the photo below on the right, proudly holding on to his new net
