Mary comes from a family with very humble beginnings. She was born and grew up in a small village, near the city of Bo, Sierra Leone, which was overrun by the rebels during Sierra Leone’s civil war.
Her family relocated to Freetown as there were no jobs for a while and the family’s subsistence farm had been burnt to the ground. Her parents are now petty traders – earning a bare $50 a month.
Mary loves to do chores and help around the house. Mary hates mosquitoes and her dream is to find a permanent solution to the mosquito problem in Freetown. She was very happy to receive a net as it provides an immediate solution to the mosquito situation in her life – providing an effective shield.
Thanks for providing this covering and line of defence.
